This is why I love the AV Club; come for the snark, stay for the history lesson.

Oh god, I didn't even get that the "special project" was the King James Bible. Duh.

Jell. Because they "Jell" so well together.

I couldn't remember what the biggest fish was called, though I did guess whale shark as one of them, given my options. "Great Shark? Great Whale? Shark Whale? Whale Shark?". Probably would have guess wrong on-air, since I really thought it was Great something.

I loved Friar Tuck. Next to Will Scarlet (I was 12, and it was Christian Slater), he was my favorite.

What I like most about him is his versatility. He loved to experiment, and wasn't afraid to make things that may only appeal to a few. I was never a huge fan of his music (with some few exceptions), but I loved how he branched out and tried different things, and I always enjoyed seeing him in movies.

Yeah, I'm thinking now's the time to finally dive in and watch that. Then Labyrinth afterwards, and end the day with Under Pressure on loop.

Britta really is the worst.

I wonder if they saw the writing on the wall, though, and sped up their timeline. Weren't the ratings for season three consistently lower than what CBS would want? They weren't bad, but I get the feeling the showrunners jumped up their plans…I just can't see where else it would go after this.

Oh, I'm so hoping. I've been trying to turn friends on to this show through Netflix, in the hopes they think it's a viable product for pick-up.

John Denver's version pops up on my Pandora every now and then.

Some pig.

I tried watching that not too long ago, because the concept alone is awesome, but I could not get past O'Connell's voice. It was just too…annoying. And I don't really know why.

Candle on the Water remains one of my favorite songs ever, and Helen Reddy has such an amazing voice. I loved the movie as a kid, but holy shit it does not hold up.

Have YOU ever tried to wrestle a three-year-old? Ain't as easy as you'd think.

And here I was thinking that's the easiest damn Final Jeopardy ever, simply because so many toddlers made their caretakers watch it over and over and over.

I always get Artemis and Athena mixed up, which then leads me to think of the Parthenon. Which now makes me confused, because I thought the Parthenon was one of the 7 wonders, and is also dedicated to a female. Maybe not.

I like it. I'm tired of angsty, dark, edgy, etc. I need light and fluffy to balance it out. Though this last episode was terrible; none of it ever made sense, and the "twist" didn't change anything…it still went through the exact same montages. And the so-called character growth was completely negated; nor did I

I call bullshit. All of the guys I know mastered their instrument in junior high.

I finally binge-watched this for the first time over Thanksgiving, then I came down with a cold and it's been a perfect way to pass the time. I tend to like procedurals, though it greatly depends on the actors, and this has been an enjoyable one.
