"Men willingly believe what they wish." Julius Caesar.

Have to agree with Facetaco here. Houston while a slave-owner, bitterly opposed secession and refused to sign a loyalty oath to the Confederacy, so the Texas secessionists forced him out as Governor. Earlier in his career he had been the great hero of the Texas revolution and instrumental in getting Texas into the

She had amazing range and could do so much. I knew she was in Steppenwolf and a great theatre performer too—she had like 5 Jeff nominations during her time in Chicago working at the Goodman and Steppenwolf. Wish I could have seen her live onstage—that production of ARMS & THE MAN she was in on Broadway also had Raul

Toasted ravioli's are the best appetizer on Earth. Iron Chef America chef Alex Guarnaschelli named toasted ravioli as her favorite finger food on BEST THING I EVER ATE a couple years ago. Gooey butter cake may not sound appetizing because of the word "gooey" but they're actually delicious. I love a slice with coffee

If you're eating toasted "fried" raviolis and enjoying them—and there's no way anyone can't—you have St. Louis to thank for them. They're the best appetizer on Earth.

I miss Ponticello's. They had the best pizza and fried chicken and all—it was the quintessential St. Louis restaurant in my opinion. Its where my Dad had one of his very first meals after getting back from his tour of duty in Vietnam and he loved it. Massa's pizza is really good too and I agree with you on Fortel's.

I will say I got my daughter who was born in Santa Monica, CA and who has lived all her life either in Minnesota or California on to Imo's and St. Louis style pizza (the best was at the now closed Ponticello's, though Frank and Helen's is good too, and so is Massa's) and she loves it. I wouldn't try Imo's first, I'd

Iron Chef America chef Alex Guarnaschelli named toasted ravioli as her favorite finger food on BEST THING I EVER ATE a couple years ago. Non-native St. Louisans seem to hate most of our regional specialties EXCEPT toasted ravioli. They're pretty damn perfect.

Thanks. That's because he did say it that way as I best remember from 14 years ago. Its a hard to forget a conversation where you're talking with your favorite director about your kid that you named after a character he wrote at the 10th anniversary screening of one of your all-time favorite movies.

You're very welcome. Thanks for the comment.

You're welcome. Thank you. The one thing I want to add is how good a performance Spoonauer gives in the movie. The timing in her scenes with Dante and her walk out of the bathroom and the look on her face as she plays with her tie, and little turn to look back at it before wrapping his arms around her, it all works

I'm really devastated by this. Clerks is probably the most influential movie of my life and easily in my Top 5 Movies of all time. Also, I don't need to see your reasons why you hate it and Kevin Smith in this post by the way, before you start.

You're right about how writers can just change things however they like, so its kind of pointless arguing over things.

I really loved this movie. I feel stupid though, because while I watched it carefully, I forget the Mailbox gag payoff.

The clean win Roman got over Finn was the DUMBEST storyline decision I've seen in a long time. Finn beat a healthy Roman clean to get his title shot, he goes on to be the first Universal Champion and never lost the title but was forced to relinquish it due to injury (not kayfabe), and here, a healthy Finn can't beat

Agreed. The Kanahele's were total badasses. I almost can't believe this movie is being made. I mean, this incident is something that was used to justify internment camps. Michele Malkin used it in her book to justify them and racial profiling after 9/11. This is some controversial stuff. No denying that that

I hadn't realized I hit 42 until I went over it in my head, but I just remembered one that I had left out before, so adjust it to 41. My bad. The Bahamas are islands, yes, around 700 or so. But they're not on the other side of the world.

Man what a great interview. I'm surprised that my favorite part might be the stuff about travel. I use those excuses he listed all the time—-which is probably why at 40 I still haven't been overseas. I've gone to Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas and 42 states including Alaska, but never overseas. He's kind of shamed me

I hear you on Panabaker. Remember when she was an airline stewardess and sleeping with Roger on MAD MEN? Her in those outfits? Yowza. She's underrated as an amazingly attractive woman to go along with her talent.

"Basically it sounds like NBC hasn't aired the Trump episode because people don't really care about Trump's pre-election scandals anymore." That's part of why they SHOULD air it. Nothing like a reminder. Also, I wonder how Gary Cole feels about all this? We all agree he's great and we'd like to see his take on this
