I didn't know about Netflix passing; the show was originally developed as a half-hour sitcom for Showtime with 5 eps taped, hence the uncensored version of "Sexy Getting Ready Song". After Showtime passed, the CW got them to alter the length and edit it for network TV.

This show was one of my favorites growing up. I went to the same middle school as Sheldon (Jamal) - he was a couple years ahead of me and naturally was the star of the school plays. I definitely had the pen on a necklace (only for watching the show - I knew not to wear that outside) and a notebook for keeping clues.

Deserving of a shoutout: Jeff Richmond, who composed the music for 30 Rock. The score of this show was an integral part of its success and he wrote it in addition to arranging and conducting the covers listed and the original songs (Mr. Templeton from Flu Shot is so good it makes me not hate Michael Buble for a few

Thanks for clarifying. I would agree that there has been a double standard in most entertainment media around the topic and it will be interesting to see how the show approaches it with Junior. The anxiety surrounding a daughter's sexual activity in contrast to the (misplaced) pride in his son's does feel like an

It only felt a little false that Jack was nervous about sitting with the cool kids. He (and Zoe) are clearly the 'cool' ones of the family and he would already have been popular at school - note how much the crowd loved him during his Gold Digger performance.

I don't think his concern was for boys forcing themselves on Zoe, but rather that Zoe would become more sexually active (of her own free will) in the car. That's why Rainbow at the end said that it was foolish to expect Zoe to be a different person with a car than she was without one.

I kept waiting for them to go for the full reference and have him request an umbrella and bowler hat.

Philip is adopted; both his adopted parents are Jewish as introduced in the first season ep "Philip Goldstein".

She's the same girl he got the job at DMX's for to buy her a necklace.

They've been together since he caught her playing Cypress Hill on her clarinet.

While the speed is a little unrealistic, it's been established that their home has two lines - the computer was likely on the fax line.

Psst…

How is someone who has only held elected office for eight years the embodiment of a career politician?

She was also one of the adorable daughters in "In America" with Paddy Considine and Samantha Morton.

I remember Soderbergh saying something like comedians were already able to handle drama when he was asked why he cast a few of them as straight men in 'The Informant!' .

There's an interesting article on Slate about the friendships between Rob & OJ and Kris & Nicole.

I was thinking Matthew St. Patrick from Six Feet Under. Underwood is a little too suave (OJ was smooth but in a more open, friendly manner) and slight of build.

The Kardashians (or more likely, Kris) are the window into how OJ was perceived by the white, monied society he sought to assimilate into. She and Faye will serve as the disapproving elites who will eventually say that OJ was never 'really' their kind of people.

I was watching my Knicks play the Rockets. My obnoxious uncle from Houston was in town and talking trash all game long. I only had the vaguest idea of who OJ was as he had been retired for a while and I was just a little too young to have seen the Naked Gun series.

He's clearly got some romantic feelings for Rebecca, but he's also incredibly loyal and is committed to Valencia.
