I'm curious who leaves at the end of this season; if Kenan finally decides to stop beating that dead horse, that will at least open up "Generic Game Show Host," which I could see one of the new guys slotting into.

Just…with Amy, please. I was watching an SNL rerun this morning, and Seth tried to do a Really?!?! segment by himself, and it was just sad.

Neither of these are classics, but I've always enjoyed how much fun Tennant and Piper seem to be having in "New Earth," which, when we're still getting to know Tennant and how he interacts with Piper, is really important.

I think one of the biggest problems with "Love and Monsters" is that it must inevitably be compared to the other "Doctor-lite" episodes, and when you throw it in the mix with "Turn Left" and especially "Blink," it's incredibly disappointing.

Or Great Gatsby…

I agree, but cantankerous Russian lady made up for it.

Well, he certainly didn't have any reason to feel sad about Clara.

Also the slightly deflated repetition of "I don't want to go." DOTD-Version Ten had a universe that was way less committed to showing how awesome he was. It's a testament to how well Tennant plays the character that he never came off as incompetent (and really, that bit where he calls out Eleven for forgetting was a

And Twelve has a Scottish accent because he was thinking of Amy when he regenerated.

It's kind of hilarious that Community is the only thing currently capable of holding down that timeslot.

I was never a big fan of the domestic stuff. I understand the whole "but it humanizes and develops the companions!" thing, and, sure, that's true, but I always found Jackie and Mickey to be horribly dull and irritating. The episode doesn't really take off until the Doctor wakes up, and at that point, it's mostly

Man, it seems so weird that anyone ever doubted Tennant…she says, fully aware of how long it took her to accept that Eccleston was gone and this other dude was taking over the role and there's nothing you can do about it so move on, dammit.

Her character could do with some snarkiness. I'm getting tired of her delivering every line looking like she's about to burst into tears.

I would not have pegged him for being so good in the hammy villain role, but damn does he rock that look.

It's almost as though people who are good at singing probably should be kept away from live sketch comedy, and vice versa!

I don't know if it was just me, but this season just felt better put together than the last two. I know all of the fan service is going to be contentious, but (slight spoilers for people who don't want to know anything at all about a thing before they watch it), it really seemed like all of the elements gelled

I would even argue that they've finally managed to break the terrible second episode curse; The Sign of Three was fun, heartwarming, a little heartbreaking, and just really elegantly designed, with lots of great story and character beats. Like you said, not to get too spoilery, but I think that by just totally

But seriously though, there are like 5 blandly attractive white guys named Chris right now who Hollywood keeps putting in the same kind of movies, and I think the fact that they're all so interchangeable is a big part of the reason we haven't had a viable new action star since the 90s.

That was the best season in general. I really hope they do another one in the next few years, they're definitely racking up the fan favorites with questionable eliminations.

Oh, definitely. When it was all charming rogues and space battles, I was like, yawn, give me some poorly explained space Jesus please. I mean, how much better would Harry Potter have been if, instead of all that crap about character development and world-building, there were pages and pages of pseudo-scientific
