I could have sworn he did the soundtrack for Glengarry Glen Ross, but upon checking it was some loser called James Newton Howard. Checking Brubeck's IMDB says he did very few film soundtracks. So I must be thinking of a different film AND different musician.

I think this can all be attributed to Purvis and Wade. They have always been poor writers, and the bond franchise suffered under them greatly until the edgy reboot.
