I think Don fired Jaguar when the guy talked about bringing in some kid to check Don's work. He just thought Joan would also consider it a noble gesture.

But really they shouldn't have had to worry about Don not knowing about the IPO or approving of what Joan did. He fired a big client on a whim. He shouldn't need to specifically know about ideas that other people are working on that haven't been presented to him yet to remember Jaguar isn't just about him.

I think the reason she felt it was "for nothing" was more about Don not valuing the account so there was a general feeling of him not caring what work went into it. That's why she described it as everyone cheering from the sidelines. This ep had both Pete and Joan praised for the hard work they'd done on the IPO deal

Totally agree on the screwed over and sour part. Especially after Tom getting his praises sung.

Joan didn't actually save the business. She just got them a big client.

But he did have reason to be righteously indignant as much as Joan did. Even without the IPO Don fired a major client on a whim and that changed the company's standing. True he was angrier about it because it came just when he thought they were on the edge of this IPO, but none of them thought they ought to have to

I think Pete knew Don didn't know about the IPO, but he was right about Don torching Jaguar just because he hated it. What other reason was there? Don was personally annoyed that the guy treated him with disrespect and dumped him, in part because Don doesn't care about the money. He really has had a lot of luck in his

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I just find Pete kind of refreshing. Not only for the Don thing but wtf with his father in law's special rules about women—MY daughter can't have a husband who goes to a brothel but apparently his wife isn't anyone's daughter so it's okay to do whatever I want.

Pete's listened to Trudy's advice on a number of occasions. The fact that Roger has a seemingly good relationship with his ex-wife is because he's charming and doesn't really have very strong feelings about anybody, not that he's a great lover/respecter of women imo.

The apes didn't destroy the Statue of Liberty. War destroyed the statue of liberty along with human civilization. The apes evolved into the talking rulers of the movie after that. Planet of the Apes generally wasn't seen to be saying that black people were savage animals or anything like that.

God it sucks to be Jim.

He had the glasses in the bed with him. Once he finished he reached out and put them on before crawling back to the top of the bed. It was hilarious.

His hair as Clark looks pretty different than his Philip hair to me.

Even if he did, he might have just smashed the window to save time. They were really rushing.

Well, it's a huge win if they believe it, which they might not. Philip probably would. Not so sure about Elizabeth.

Is Philip the only one who goes to conferences? It seems like he went to that one conference because the KGB was setting him up to work with Irina. At home they do seem to fall into a lot of traditional roles—when they had that macaroni conversation at the Beeman's was Philip supposed to have made it himself? They had

I just doubt it's so strict that it crosses over into weird. Presumably since they're spies they set out rules early about privacy. By now the kids are 13 and 10 so they're not toddlers who really need comfort. Henry reminded Paige that she wasn't allowed to wake Mom and Dad up but she wasn't afraid to do it. I think

What's wrong with "Nighttime is for sleeping so don't bother us?"

Even if she for some reason got the idea they were spies seriously (which I agree would take a lot), the leap to being Russian spies would be big too.

There were a lot of awkward moments from the adults in the ep, but it seems unfair to assume they're not genuine because they're more sophisticated in their understanding of what's going on. In some ways Bobby wasn't really that different from the other white people in the ep.
