it is kinda depressing, provolone, but it's not a novel that needs to be read in one sitting. fortunately, it's also incredibly funny, so that might just be the way it works out (when she talks about marrying cats, i almost lost my shit).

yes, we get to see rick.

i LedOL at "flawless victory"

i got akira!
missed a lot of what was happening in that movie the first time around- didn't help that i was ten at the time. i'd say a fair amount of anime is better the second time around, and i'm surprised there weren't a bunch of foreign movies in the responses.

some customer randomly gave me the vhs box set of this show because she doesn't have a vcr. guess i'll have to watch it now.

i drink your blood has satanic hippies- totally sweet movie.

"Space Jam must have really raised their hopes."

which beloved pop-culture publication- tv guide?

the only good thing to come out of blade kitten are some really excellent costumes.

in more ways than one.

i imagine this is somehow going to be reflected at the box office

um, pretty much *everything* is cool when you're on acid

while i dig the term "america's douchebasket"
wouldn't that more accurately describe dc or something?

saw him on a street corner in chinatown a few years back. he was yammering away on his phone and casting dirty looks at my group despite the fact that i was the only one to even look in his direction. he walked away superfast when the light changed.

yeah, greekfest was ridiculous across the board, but my big concern at the time was getting my white ass handed to me in my majority black neighborhood (i was nine). not that it didn't happen, but that was years later and unrelated to the riot.

um, the greekfest (which was pretty much beach week for black frats and sororities) riot was like the worst thing to ever happen to virginia beach. i think it pretty much disappeared after that and was supplanted by freaknik in atlanta and gatherings in myrtle beach.

heat and toy story were also great, but the first time i dropped we saw die hard three (which was terrible) and i melted to the seat. this is after we saw a one-armed man and a group of kids with down syndrome at taco bell, naturally.

well, at least he can read what's on the ring now
after digging out of the ashes, of course

sigh.
