i don't, either. here's my head- get to work.

i, for one, cannot WAIT to be "chillin' the most" with kid rock

my list is pretty similar, and the avclub is the only pop-culture website i visit at all (aside from the odd occasion my girlfriend leaves gawker up on the browser). not having cable or an antenna for my tv is actually pretty nice.

best first concert
superchunk and archers of loaf. nobody i know comes close to topping that.

I RIDE WITH RODNEY. seriously, i agree with what he said.

ender's game is awesome, fuck the haters. it isn't the greatest sci-fi novel by any means, but it has broad appeal and is an excellent gateway for people who don't think they like science-fiction.

pretty much any song on the radio featuring wayne will have a few awesome lines in it:

i like merk's version

yeah, i thought i had missed something for a second there. great strip, regardless, and i was bummed that the washington post only started running it a few months before i moved away from dc.

the most amazing part of totoro (and kiki's delivery service, to some extent) is that the children are rarely talked down to. their problems are recognized as valid and treated respectfully by thoughtful, caring adults. i love miyazaki's work and was surprised there was only a tangential mention of it in the article.

i wanna go to the moominland theme park so bad.

…the pirates. haven't read them, but they seem to do pretty well at my store. i've had a few parents comment that they've enjoyed them, as well.
