as soon as i saw this article, i wanted to make a crack about that bullshit scenic routes article, but i would certainly have a few parts of children of men on this list, the running gun battle/birth scene in particular. the cafe at the beginning would be way up there, too.

@laterite- i'm with you- a lot of the really old movies from the early seasons are unwatchable even with joel and the bots (i've never made it through the crawling eye, for example). i enjoy the later experiments much more, not necessarily because of a preference for mike over joel, but because the movies were

paycheck is laughably bad, especially considering woo was at the helm. considering the source, you would expect a "smart thriller," but woo pretty much killed an cleverness inherent to the story by trotting out action movie cliche after action movie cliche.
