Definite break-out star of the series.

He's got a great cameo in the second season too. You learn a ton about Robert and Danny's relationship, from both perspectives, from that scene.

I loved his performance in Bloodline. Especially the tranquility he brought to a part which could have been played an entirely different way (given what we know of Papa Rayburn's past, I suspect most actors would have played the part a lot more volatile). Two of my favorite scenes in the first season are when he's

You do know that was not just a cheap ploy by DV for upvotes (banking on that sweet, sweet, word-processing nostalgia)? Martin does still really use Wordstar.

I found the action scenes an incoherent mess. At one point, I actually asked my wife if Theon was involved in the fight, because I couldn't determine if he was one of the shadowy blurs obscured by sparks (the answer was: not yet).

Love the iron islands in the book, but they are a complete afterthought for the show.

"The Foresaken," which Martin apparently read aloud at a Boston convention about a year ago. It was recorded and later transcribed. Here's a link:

This one has the robot aliens who use earth as a cosmic bulletin board, not the farting aliens who are shot trying to save people from a fire.

It's basically Vonnegut's attempt to avoid committing suicide. It's a fun read from the outside looking in, but I can see why he would be . . . ambivalent . . . about it.

I can't deal with those things. Impeach him for those, too.

You do know who that freaky man was, don't you?

He's in one of the chapters from Winds of Winter which has been released, and the dude may be scarier than Ramsey and Joffrey combined.

I believe that might be Carrie Fisher's actual dog.

I'm not a twitter guy, so I had no knowledge of him before the show. But I've seem similar comments from others who ended up liking the show despite their general dislike of Delaney.

This show is great, and probably deserved more love than just the nod for Fisher. Carrie was hilarious in her guest spot, but at least another nom or two in either of the lead, supporting, or writing categories would have been well-earned.

I still hear the Oz theme start playing in my head every time I see the HBO static symbol.

but wrong to limit your hesitation to work time.

Wow. I just started the series, and saw many comments (written years ago) that this was the worst episode.

If he's anything like me, it may just be that he's a classic introvert who just needs and appreciates having down time in between the work days.

Phew. Thanks for the link. I needed to confirm that it would be appropriate to respond, "but first, the whores!"
