I think it's so rare because of the time constraints both Marvel and DC put on their creators and it makes it impossible to write and draw a comic for more than a few issues at a time.

Cloak and Dagger would make for such a good Netflix series.

It still pisses me off how Marvel treated Gillen's run on Uncanny.

A hooker with a heart…the movie is biologically accurate, as hookers being human have hearts.

John Goodmam seemed to survive that.

I wish I could purge watching Labor Day from my brain.

Shows are judged episode by episode on the merit of that specific episode. On this very site, no less.

ESPECIALLY considering how dialogue heavy his books are.

So a couple of months ago I was mugged, which resulted in me getting punched in the side of the head and around my left eye multiple times. When I got to the hospital about 45 minutes to an hour later, the bruising around my really didn't look all that noticeable. This was on a Friday night/Saturday morning (around

The best thing about what Claremont was doing that so they could be used for further use down line as actual characters. I love Mike Carey's iteration of Rogue and pursuit of leadership and a way to control her powers, and this isn't possible without Claremont making her a headstrong character whose afraid of her

"Hey everyone, look at what we're publishing…A GRANT MORRISON COMIC!"
"What's it about?"
"…it's a Grant Morrison comic."

Oh hey, the only comic I actually bought and got around to finishing this week was the Henchgirl double comic.

Honestly, Bendis on Miles burns me out and his voice doesn't really sound all that different from his Peter or the All New X-Mem. And every time I check in on the character, it's the same thing. I want to read Miles but I really don't want to read Bendis (for a lot reasons).

Except "wait for the story to end" isn't even remotely how Marvel sell or promote their comics. That argument didn't even come up until after people started criticizing what was in the comic and how it was presented. They want people to buy the single issues first and foremost, if they actually cared about the story

I think something that needs to be pointed out and one of the reasons why it's considered a loophole to some extent: when Moore and Gibbons signed their contracts (presumably in early '86, maybe even late '85) trade paperbacks literally weren't a thing. There were prestige comics but those were never single issues

I mean, this is Grant Morrison's career working for both Marvel and DC (outside of Vertigo, of course). "Okay, this appears to be cool…buuuuuut I don't get it."

I saw a Teen Titans Go comic this week with Terra on the cover…god, I love the way they handled her in the cartoon compared to her original comic incarnation.

I am absolutely one of those people.

I was not particularly enthused by the Time interview and I usually cringe at Brevoort doing any sort of PR when there's even a little bit of pushback.

Fantom Comics over in DuPont Circle in DC (whose co-owner just wrote something for Image+).
