The scenes with Bane fucked me up as a 7 year old.  I had this irrational fear that my parents would end up in jail and get turned into monsters like Bane did, since that's obviously how the American Justice System operates.

It looks like you left a bracket open.  And I agree about Hook, I thought it was basically the coolest fucking movie ever when I first saw it (probably at about 10 or so, on VHS) though I haven't seen it in years.  I still know people who will take no guff about the awesomeness of that film.

Yeah I've just started refreshing my memory on some of the details over at the (insanely detailed) Wikipedia page.  Had no idea that so many of the books were ghostwritten, but it makes sense.  The ending was all sorts of fucked up, and some of the alien races had pretty compelling back-stories if I remember

I'm terrified to go back and read K.A. Applegate's Animorphs series.  I was pretty hard into those books in Elementary and Middle School partly because our local library had dozens and partly because I could find them for cheap at used bookstores and those Scholastic catalogues we got every few months.  I read real

Saw it for the first time about a year ago, and it's pretty much the shit.  Predator 2 was god awful, though.

Not intentional, no. Possibly subliminal, since I was reading about them a few hours before posting.  And now I'm going to listen to Kid A again, so thanks!

I understood both the reference and intent of the jape. I merely provided exit music as you showed yourself out.
