I like the way you think. That makes perfect sense and I'm really hopeful that that's where this season is going. It would actually be a great way of tying the whole series together: The reason the Observers have had such an interest in Peter and have been sitting in on his entire life is because he's their Adam.

I also wonder if September is the son of Peter and Blue-Universe Olivia, and that's why he's so concerned with Peter's fate. If Peter stops existing, so does he. He's made it his mission to get Peter and Olivia back together more than once. Maybe they're his mom and dad.
I wonder if Henry was that child in the season one episode "Inner Child." September said he was wiped from time when Peter was, but Peter somehow mysteriously appeared again. The child in that episode appeared out of nowhere in the bottom of an abandoned warehouse, and at the end of the episode we saw him riding away…
