I usually hate lists like yours. Specifically, lists that forgo mentioning "popular" music to instead commend obscure releases… BUT having it explained helped. Because of your descriptions and comparisons I'm going to check out some of the bands on here I don't know.

I remember Nick Jr. in the mornings, Nickelodeon for the afternoons and early evening, and Nick at Night until about 2AM when it would switch to paid programing.
