Definitely A Date With Your Family. "Dad, I'm dating a negro!"

I didn't expect the Amon/Tarrlok connection, but I did really like it.

Wow, that was a pretty incredible finale! The Amon and Tarlokk scene was intense and I'm amazed that they got the chance to do it, particularly after the constant he's-okay-he-has-a-parachute shots.  I didn't pick up on Emily's interpretation of Korra on the cliff, but I really like it.  It makes a lot of sense. Something about the layout of the benches below gave me the impression that she had blasted him out of the building and down into the docks.  Actually, thinking about it, the only building we know the layout of is the fighting arena. Because of that,  I just sort of assume that all building in Republic City are built

Late to the party; I just got a chance to watch this episode and it was pretty amazing.  I wonder if we're going to see Tarlokk as the big bad for next season.  Having him take out Amon (unlikely) or manipulate the situation so that he gets the credit for whatever the Korra Krew do to stop Amon would make for a pretty

I wasn't paying attention to the architecture during the fight and thought for a moment that Korra had sent Tarlokk plummeting to his death.  Although given the nature of the fight, if she could have she probably would have.

@avclub-7cbaf9384cf3835106bf2f444c0bcf65:disqus I've actually been wondering the same thing about Katara.  We find out in the first episode that she sees her family so rarely that Meelo doesn't even know who she is.  And I didn't get the impression that she had been training Korra either, since she had to be briefed

"No one watches these opening credits, do they?"
"Sure they do, they all have families."

I can't believe I've never seen this show.  I love Airplane! and Naked Gun, how is it possible I missed this?  I can already tell I'm going to love all of this show.

Well, I've never read the comics, but it still came across to me.  If someone starts rubbing their temples in a movie involving mind control, I pretty much assume they're about to get mind controlled.  It's like a someone in a cop movie telling everyone that he's got three days to retirement.
