I agree. And it's to his credit.

I didn't notice that, but I also meant to mention the David Cook/American Idol connection. Weird name choice, underused guest spot. Decent ep though overall. And to the inquiry earlier in this thread, it doesnt always reward teh commitment, but it does actually demand close attention more than it gets credit for.

Absolutely. I was just rolling my eyes a bit about the shot happening on cue.

I agree it was a bit overexplainy, but part and parcel with an episode that was part housekeeping. I have a strong feeling next week will be a strong return to form.

All interesting points, although I can't say I found it in any way more exciting than part one. We shall agree to partly disagree!

I think that's the dividing line: whether it being reset is a disappointment or not. The show does straddle a weird line between episodic procedural and ongoing narrative. (Or something much less pretentious sounding.) And agreed about the anklet. It's the new music box.

Hey Rainey,

Hey Rainey,

I think that was Ellen's swan-song. Or at least if IMDB credits are to be believed. Seemed an awful lot like her epilogue to me though,

And where's Elizabeth in all this? Too many moving parts, as they say.
