What gets me about it: usually ads involving a "straight relationship" plot skew in a definite direction—- either they are clearly aimed a little more at men than at women, or vice versa. But I can't figure this ad out in those terms.

I get the joke—- given the choice, I'd rather be around a Gotye audience than an ICP audience, too—- but this is an incredibly ignorant comment, and something about it really set me off.
