I'm really struggling getting into it, by which I mean I opened it once and was very quickly overwhelmed. I'll try again I PROMISE. I really like the soundtrack!

Hi there! Hi.

the bit I find ODD about Carlton is almost immediately post Lost he wanted to do/possibly sold(?) a show about a man who comes to a troubled town and helps them all find god. I am serious but probably won't be able to dig up sources, 3 years ago is centuries in internet time

in my head I kinda blame him for the bigger problems I have with the final season too.

my favourite quick fix for the finale itself (nothing is saving that final season) -

I'm pretty firmly in the don't care camp, but also a bit of don't understand? I've started reading a few and just sort of tapered out and jumped into tv club. I'm glad other people are digging it though!

lens flare!

oh I got the point being made, I just felt like it was clumsy and ill-fitting as hell. I felt it clashed with the rest of the series (up until at least the final season) which had been more about concepts fate vs free will than skepticism/science vs faith. While those pieces had (arguably) been around the whole time,

I am definitely exaggerating to make a point, I definitely hate that window too. I never felt as though religious spirituality was as large a part of the story as they decided it would be in its homestretch.

"you want me to wake her up and make her watch me eat a bucket of chicken wings?"

Planet Earth

My guess is because everyone who saw it found literally nothing to complain about. All twelve people

I'm going to bed so just quick quick counterpoints (hopefully I don't come across as rude, just tired! yes I AM canadian why do you ask)

goodnight, lovers. stay smoking.

STELLAR analysis. I loved the finale and have been firmly-yet-gleefully rooting against Walter for at least two seasons, but there was no better way for this to end. my favourite finales in the series (1, 4, 5.1 and 5.2) are all framed in a way that seems somewhat positive (usually helped by a music cue), but make you

oh wow how could I forget Moral Orel, GOOD call

yeah, I don't recall what Norm says in that scene but it tears me up (and makes me tear up) every time. Seriously, a master class in comedy (and of course drama) writing.

Yeah, Cheers is probably my favourite (for comedies, anyway. Actually damn I love Party Down's just about equally there).
