Never heard this guy, but I thank him for speaking out on this song and calling out Lennon's hypocrisy. Much as I love a lot of Lennon's music, he was a raging asshole. Kind of rich of him to sing about universal love.

There are some really good songs on CoS when you hear them apart from the rest of the album (Rectify is one), but it does suffer from being kind of mushy, with one song not really being distinguished from the next.

I see it the other way. While I enjoy their older music, they sounded like a bunch of guys playing their instruments as loud and as fast as they could as the same time. Now they sound like a coherent band that works out complementary instrumentation, the result being something that's more interesting to listen to.
