That's marvelous.
That's marvelous.
Guided By Voices did this a bunch of times. "Bee Thousand" and "Alien Lanes" appeared on The Grand Hour Ep. "Do The Collapse" and "Isolation Drills" ended up as B sides. Under The Bushes Under The Stars comes from the lyrics to "The Planets Own Brand" on the 'I Am A Scientist' EP.
The Mexicutioner.
Thanks. Moonflower Plastic is one of my all time favorites. I love Sprout's voice.
If you're not already aware, Speak Kindly of Your Volunteer Fire Department and the two Lifeguards albums are excellent.
Probably because Tonics is often not considered an official LP release.
Well, that's an EP, but only 4 minutes shorter than the LP Sandbox.
Mag Earwhig! is the only Guided by Verde album, but I'll agree that the Doug Gillard era of GBV was excellent and I don't get why some fans can't enjoy both.
I'd put Class Clown Spots a UFO, The Bears For Lunch and Motivational Jumpsuit up there with the best GBV albums. All of the reunion LPs have at least a few really great tunes on them and many of those are Tobin Sprout songs.
I was a little boy who wanted to be a big boy.
Be Here Now is and has always been a great album. As Oasis' cocaine album it suffers from being bloated and over-long, but the songs themselves are solid. It seems that every few years or so the critical and popular opinion of Be Here Now switches from good to bad.
Oh shit! There's stickers!
I'm sure Jermajesty Jackson hits up his old man for cash every now and then.
No thank you, I am not a masochist.
Does this mean that Zouks is still in The Dictator? Can any of you Dum-Dum's check?
I thought Jane didn't have any friends.
Sonofabitch beat me to it.
Used batteries. Philly fans can't afford to throw quarters.
The Great Escape is not the best Blur album but I will contend that it is the most underrated. Both Damon and Graham have not been kind to the album for knee-jerk retrospective reasons that have little to do with the actual content of the album itself and more to do with the era in which it was made.
Then you're my fact checking cuz.
