For real?

Back in second or third grade we were shown a movie that scared the holy hell out of me, and I have no idea what it was. All I remember of it was that there was a scene where some kind of Knight/medieval figure encounters what he thinks is a beautiful woman, only she turns out to be a hideous creature/witch or

This show was great. No idea why Disney isn't mining Barks' work to this day. Part of me is glad they aren't, but I'd love for future generations to have their own DuckTales.

Adding to the Muppet Treasure Island love. Tim Curry is WONDERFUL in it.

I watched this and enjoyed it. It's basically "The BBC Tries To Kill Dominic Monaghan," and Monaghan looks delighted by the idea that he might die on television.

"Agreed, although was Spinal Tap ever really a 'comedy rock' act? They were meant to be a parody of 70s hard rock bands, but their lyrics were no less ridiculous than the actual bands they were spoofing. The movie was a comedy, but the band wasn't."

Worst story ever. If I were you I'd destroy every copy of this movie I came across.

Yes, really.

Yes, really.

“Sirota suggested the show made many people feel better about race because it almost seemed like race problems had been solved—if this is an affluent black doctor who doesn't have to deal with race issues then everything's fine now, right?”

Yup. It's one of my favorites also. It was my gateway to the Blues, and that's no small thing. Joe Seneca is brilliant in the film, and Hill does a terrific job grounding the supernatural elements. Ry Cooder's soundtrack for the film is something of a precursor to "O Brother, Where Art Thou" in its construction, and
