A Nextwave movie couldn't possibly live up to the Nextwave movie in my head.

To be fair, I'm sure people said the same thing when they made a Blade movie.

@avclub-3a7e51d147107126d603db6022ddd70b:disqus She got more to do in later seasons, especially once Rory went away, but in the early seasons I think she mostly exists as a friend for Rory, and to have Mrs. Kim as a contrast to Lorelai's parenting style.

I liked her, but they didn't seem to know what to do with her a lot of the time. Giving Rory a best friend who's in a different school seems an odd choice, but I guess she needed someone in Star's Hollow to relate to.

Then you have no choice but to buy all of Vampire Weekend's music too (Zal Batmanglij's brother, Rostam Batmanglij is a member and writes some of the songs).

I do like the episodes where someone new is shown around the town for the first time. Christopher's one a few weeks ago was fun, and the bit in S2 where Paris goes to Luke's is a favourite.

Came out today/last night in the UK/Ireland.

So, anyone else seen Star Trek Into Darkness yet? I'm just back.

They got an order for an additional 5 scripts, which is really weird as script orders are usually only given for a show in its first season.

Like a few of the others, Shadow Dancer was out here last year. Really enjoyed it, Andrea Riseborough is as good as she always is.

I loved it. Incredibly creepy, and a great central performance by Jones.

Not mentioned?

The Apprentice UK was back last night, and on again tonight. That and The Amazing Race are the only reality TV I watch.

I've really liked the last two episodes, but I miss Ming. I hope she gets something to do soon.

I think S2 and S3 are the strongest. S4 was still very funny, but didn't quite work as well.
