I get heated over the one-dimensional reporting that doesn't take into account the victim's response. Obviously, the truth frustrates you. And obviously you keep tabs on those who don't stand in lock step with your opinions. Very McCarthyite.

Link?

I have no disagreement with Bresson on the subject. Polanski was present for the trial and sentencing, though. He skipped afterwards.

I have no problem if he goes to prison. The post you're responding to answers the question "Why is this news that this is happening?" It's news because he has usually been left off the hook in France. It's also worth considering the victim's own reflections on the issue. It's information. Consider the information, or

I don't have a dog in this fight. He raped her, so he has no room to complain about anything he goes through as a result. If the U.S. courts decided to suspend the charges, I'd have no problem, either, since he has shown remorse, but that's as far as I go on the issue.

Yeah, you didn't read either links to interviews with her, did you?

Nope, but we sure did find smear artist when you posted!

At least this has something to do with the world of entertainment. Why the A.V. Club has decided it needs to cover political events is a little more baffling.

Well, Samantha Geimer, the girl in question, thinks he's been a victim in this. Polanski should be allowed to resolve his legal issues and come back to the US, she says. "Because that's what would be fair. Because it's the right thing." And her? She smiles. "I'm fine."

The French seem to have been largely tolerant over the decades of Polanski in the face of the scandal.

For some reason, I thought the film had been altered a third time to remove the credits from the single-take sequence. I thought the 1998 cut had followed Welles' memo but had left them over that opening scene.

As I said, I liked season four. I realize a lot of people didn't.

Tobias Fünke, Analrapist.

Trouble is, it did work on Gotham. And Smallville before it.

I think the existence of season four after such a long hiatus makes any blatant "the next season will never happen" assertion pointless.

Since they share almost nothing, we have no way of determining why they would or would not want to lie about the same thing. But since they have a terrible track record with honesty, until they provide evidence, there is no reason to trust them.

I read actual Poe. I was even given a copy of the Complete Works for my eleventh birthday. the pages still have the smudges from my grammar school fingerprints all over them ("The Raven" has the most—I was obsessed with that poem).

If she rejected evidence based on science, you'd have a point. But she doesn't. She' s not anti-vax, which is probably what you're referring to. You fell for the character assassinations of Hillary's people. Any number of articles would clear up the issue for you, had you cared to be open-minded about it.

I'm up for it. I enjoyed season four, though I know many felt differently, and I enjoyed Kristin Wiig and Seth Rogan as the younger Bluths, so more younger Bluths will probably work for me, too.

Oh yeah, I've seen it many times. I like it, though it is far removed from the novel. I was just hoping there was a new version.
