Bland and boring
I think their comedy worked well on the BBC radio series but just doesn't translate over to the HBO sitcom format very well. The 2nd season was especially bad and this album is just a big reminder of that.

I gave up on this show once I saw an interview with (the real) Jonathan Ames. At first I was perplexed how a show with such a solid cast could be so unfunny and boring, but now that I saw the boring and uninteresting writer I completely get it.

Interesting
I found this to be the worst of the new episodes… and yet you're calling for an Emmy? I thought Charlie's "interests" were pretty much written on autopilot and reminded me of middle school kids that think being "random" extremely funny.
