I haven't listened to all of that Y Kant Tori Read album, but 'The Big Picture' is a really good song, it sounds like Pat Benetar.

I'll give this one a listen. I liked a few songs on Under Cover of Official Right, one hangup, though, is Joe Casey's voice, it just sounds so….monotone. Some bands I can get past that if the songs are really good (The Hold Steady, The Magnetic Fields), but it hasn't happened yet with these guys. Protomartyr is a cool…
Claire Danes looks so pretty in that movie.
Speaking of Ministry, I thought the cover of In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up was kind of disturbing.
I remember browsing through Cannibal Corpse albums, just staring at the hideous artwork and stomach-churning song titles. Strangely enough, I actually like some CC songs now - 'Pit of Zombies' rules.
I've been wanting to check out some more Wall of Voodoo, I like 'Mexican Radio' just fine, but I really like 'Back in Flesh', which I heard thanks to the Left of the Dial box set.
I went to Sunday of Lollapalooza in 2013 just to see them, I had never seen them before and didn't know how many other chances I would have. Robert has looked better, but they sounded fantastic, and played a great 2-hour set.
Interesting. I knew Trevor Horn was a producer (Yes, ABC, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, etc), I didn't know he was in The Buggles. And I still like 'Video Killed the Radio Star' too.
Feels too crowded too. I went 3 years in a row - 07, 08, and 09. The weather Saturday of 09 was awful - it rained all day. Sunday was hot and humid and muddy. I haven't been back since, and I can't see myself going back soon.
I've seen Deafheaven twice - both at festivals - and it is kind of amusing how angry and intense George looks at the beginning of the set.
Joanna Newsom.
People talk like she's a 'goddess', that her music is really deep, and I just cannot get into it. Mostly it has to do with her voice. I did see her at Pitchfork Fest a few years back, and enjoyed her performance, but it didn't make me want to grab any more of her songs.
Their deeper cuts are better than their hits.
Yeah, this. I'm just not into sci-fi or fantasy very much.
I've run into people who can't stand Billy Corgan's voice, or Eddie Vedder's voice, so it's understandable.
I first saw Paget in this movie called The Big Bad Swim. It's a good little indie film, I don't know if it ever got released to theaters. You all should check it out. Jess Weixler is in it as well. Note: the DVD cover art is misleading.
I remember listening to part of the Suburbia soundtrack in a record store. I didn't buy it, but I think I liked the Sonic Youth song on there.
I got a free ticket to see Sting in '96 - with Lyle Lovett opening! - and I went b/c I was hoping he'd play some Police songs, which he did, so, it was worth it for those.
Yeah, 'Easy Lover' is one of those songs I never got tired of hearing on the 'soft rock' station my Mom listened to. Also, 'I Wish It Would Rain Down' is good.
I'm looking forward to seeing them at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin in a few months.
Really? That's the only one I haven't heard. Hmmm….
