I distinctly remember cheering when she rejected his proposal. As much as I hated the seventh season, it at least did that right.

Yeah, she had very well-defined goals. She graduated from business school in her thirties, supported herself immediately following her pregnancy, opened her own inn - which is definitely not what one does just to "get by" in life, that's ambition.

Dave was the best! Reading the Bible in a night to figure out Mrs. Kim's cryptic response to his asking if he could take Lane to prom really sold me on him. Then again, everyone's great with Mrs. Kim. "It's not from the Bible. It's Shakespeare. I like to goof off now and then too, you know."

I really appreciated that Liza Weil shout-out. I still can't believe how much she irritated me starting out, and how much I ended up loving her afterwards. Especially her equating her first date to an apocalyptic state where a wife shouts "Quick Bob, get the children in the minivan!" (I'm not sure why that line sticks…

I laughed so hard at Alcide's roadtrip. Just him, hanging out, driving. Doing nothing. Thinking about the past a bit. Then going back to the Wallflowers. Typical Alcide intrigue.

And Aliens in America and Veronica Mars and, possibly, Gilmore Girls.

That's a great one. Another that I really enjoyed (mostly because it validated and glorified being a loner) was "Like Mother, Like Daughter" where Rory is told to interact more with other students and ends up joining a secret society.

I completely tune out whenever the authority scenes come up. I keep thinking I'm missing something because their screen time indicates a significant purpose so I tune in every once in a while to see if I've missed anything, and no real twist or development has ever occurred. It's not worthy of loathing like the…
No kidding. They surround her with the best characters (though Eric stepped out of any blood ties just in time) and then create a screw-up before there's been any real relationship established. There were dozens of other willing people inside, she could've just chosen one of them. Mostly, I'm just tired of seeing Hoyt…
