The thing that's weird is that in the actual Fairy Tale, the name was supposed to be a deep secret that he never revealed to anyone, the name had power over him. (in fact Mxysptlk in Superman is obviously based on him).

@avclub-6512bd43d9caa6e02c990b0a82652dca:disqus I should say that Arnold Rothstein is referenced a lot in Harry Anderson's "Games You Can't Lose," because of his well know penchant for gambling stunts.  (However,the book also goes into the details of his untimely demise.)

My assumption is that Rothstein has made a rare miscalculation and figure he was just collateral damage and that Nucky was the main target.  We'll see though.
