Before I weigh in, since tone and intent are VERY difficult to communicate in qriting and people tend (often justifiably) to assume that anything written on the internet is should be read as a shouted ad hominim, and since this is sensitive shit, I just want to articulate that I mean no disrespect to anyone and I'm

He didn't say she actually was a slut, just that she dresses like one. Very distinct assertions.

From a viewer's perspective, though, definitely worth it. I love that show.

In Treatmentis cheap to make, but it's easy to overlook how fucking ridiculous 5 episodes a week is. Multiple people involved with the show from showrunners down to Byrne have pointed out what a pain in the ass it is to make the thing.

It's like the most memorable Python sketches (and the entirety of Holy Grail) in that it's still fucking great on its own, but only if you can banish the armies of quote-spewing nerds and t-shirts from your mind.

That's actually a fantastic sentence. It's a funny and succinct way of saying that the kind of movies Ferrell makes would be unambiguously shitty if they didn't have a comedic powerhouse at their center. Or are you just objecting to the praise for Ferrell?

Honestly, they have their moments, but those moments never last for entire songs. "Beast and the Harlot" is mostly cool with a really shitty chorus, and that's probably the closest they ever came.

"Sevenfold" = "seven times"

Also, Anselmo's vocals actually ruled. His imitators just all suck.

Eric mentioned that he had submitted to Sophie-Ann in the past out of respect, since she was his Queen.
And the Magister has some kind of universal authority on matters of justice, I guess.

He is credited on the awesome Reunion, and he's certainly proven himself talented. but I also think overall his scripts have been s2's weakest.

Well, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who disagrees with the esteemed and talented Mr. Murray about that arc.

La Pipe—I mostly agree about the ensemble. Wesley is a bright spot for the show right now. Great character, and I think if the writers start to let Alexis Denisof carry more of the show's emotional impact (which I bet they will) he could prove himself to be one of the Buffyverse's MVPs. Carpenter's been improving

Forgot to mention that a big part of the reason it works for me is because I like Julie Benz' performance as vulnerable, confused, human Darla a LOT.

Wow, I must just have a weakness for Angel
So I'm watching through both shows for the first time at the moment (only a few eps ahead of Noel, so no spoilers please!) and I gotta say—I love the whole Angel-separated-from-his-friends arc. The whole thing felt very believable to me, in part because Are You Now Or Have

Agreed. Wicker Man must be preserved and cherished.

I've always been problematically comma-happy. I'm not sure if those commas were actually superfluous or not, but they probably were.

This epsidoe ruled.
I laughed at loud at this one as much as I did at the best pre-revival eps. My doubts about the new season are, for the moment, assuaged.

Ursula K. LeGuin, apparently. I'm kind of okay with that.

Oh, weird that I didn't remember the previous mention.
But yeah, chops they've got, and on stage they play black metal with death-metal intensity, which not enough bands seem to do for some reason. (That was a great night fo intense black(ish) metal, actually—anyone who hasn't seen Behemoth live REALLY needs to rectify
