Agreed. That album had one the best lineups thrash ever saw. Even if Menza and Friedman won't be back, it's still nice to see that one of the oldv ets has returned, despite Mustaine's constant bridge-burning.

That's true. The first like 20 minutes of Watershed are motherfucking exhausting. I like that they were willing to stick in their weird blues-prog territory for so much of the album and punctuate it with melodic death, instead of the other way around—it makes the whole thing pretty uniquw.
I'm of the opinion that Maiden was the best metal band in the world throughout 80s and re-ascended to that throne in this decade.
Haven't heard the new one (when did it come out?) but I'm a huge fan of We Are The Nightmare. I thought their pre-Nightmare work was kinda lame, though, and I was excited to see where they;d go now that they'd gotten it right. Kinda depressing to hear the new one is bad—they really had it going for one album.
The way I always express my opinion on this is that Christians can make good metal, but you can't make good Christian metal.
Holy shit, that Temple of Baal shit sounds awesome
Thrash stylings + black metal atmosphere pretty much always adds up to something really cool.
As for power metal, while I'm less averse to operatic dramatization than Pierce seems to be, I'm glad that he's both recognizing power metal and pointing out its flaws. IT's a…
I still like the beginning of Ultimate X-Men.
The new Nile has some of the best DM riffs that have come out in a while. Way better than Ithyphallic.
Yeah holy shit, Rupert G? Really?
Just to try and clear my name here, I said I was *not* a fan of Rhapsody and Nightwish.
I think they're the best band doing this "instru-metal" thing.
Haven't heard this yet, but The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw was pretty much blindingly awesome. Contrary to the review, I'd say "entirely focused, dynamic [and] epic" describes this band pretty perfectly.
Not all symphonic metal sucks. I'm not a fan of Rhapsody or most of Nightwish, and they're kind of the flagship bands I suppose, but Dragonland is actually pretty good, and there's some cool symphonic black metal (late Emperor, not Dimmu or CoF)
This comment is hilarious if you imagine your avatar deadpanning it.
I believe the OP's point was that the character is Chinese and origami is not.
Holmes in the stories is totally like Holmes in this film as Phipps describes him. And sure, we don't see him in action scenes a lot, but as has been pointed out multiple times on this page, he was a martial arts expert with fighting experience, so putting action scenes in the film, while perhaps somewhat…
Holmes is a charismatic, assertive junky. Downey's a great choice.
I too want every adaptation of everything to be exactly like the original thing!
I've noticed this in reviews everywhere. Directors get credit for fucking everything. Screenwriters are the industry's bitch.
He's often kinda disheveled in the stories if I remember right. Phipps was right to say he's kind of a mess.
He not only read it, he responded about it. If he really thought it was "wroth ignoring," then just wanted to piss you off. Which means he's the worst kind of troll. At least normal trolls have enough initiative to start their own threads.
