I think that it's probably more to do with the fucker not being recurring character material or not wanting to stick him alongside Malcolm. Since Coulson is up to his fucking ears in Hackgate and the back end of this season is supposed to be a Leveson-style ethics inquiry, it seems almost too good not to use him.

Yes Minister's also pretty blatantly about Tories though since they're always focusing on big spending cuts and reforming the civil service, they're openly contemptuous of left wing causes, and Hacker's absurd fetishistic attempts to imitate Churchill's speech patterns were pretty clearly a pointed jab at Thatcher

She heard Glenn's mini-breakdown over the department driving Tickell to suicide, and saw Phil being a massive asshole about Tickell's death. So that's the social embarrassment.

Back in series 3 it was explicitly stated at one point that Stewart isn't Malcolm's opposite number in JB's operation. Malcolm's opposite is The Fucker, JB's chief of staff, who supposedly took over Stewart's duties in the run-up to the election. So I'm kind of surprised that The Fucker hasn't put in an appearance

He's a nurse who lived in government-owned housing that was allocated to NHS employees. They sold his flat and evicted him, and he protested by moving into a tent. He also has a history of mental illness, mostly depression.

Do you just not know what Terri's job is?

Supposedly several members of the government acted as informants on this series, and I read somewhere that one of them was a senior LibDem aide.

I'm honestly surprised Terri didn't shit the bed in this one. I mean she flailed about like a shitting goat looking for her Bluetooth for a while, and that seemed like it was setting her up. But then it was all taken out of her hands anyway once Phil took off to pick up Manion.

Rakoff felt the same way, actually. His Hodgkin's went into remission after treatment, so he felt like a cancer tourist for something like a decade and change before they found a sarcoma in his shoulder. He complained about it, a bit, because apparently that kind of thing is common with people who undergo radiation

People are displaced all the time, for all kinds of reasons. In this instance, people are displaced so that other people can watch sport in stadiums that are unlikely to ever turn a profit, many of which will fall into disuse.

Except it doesn't matter what the economic climate is like at the time. The Olypmics always generate a short term boost in tourism and then a long term loss. The Olympics always lead to massive numbers of displaced people, massive numbers of arrests, and huge crackdowns on people whose only crime is belonging to the

I don't see why you're being so flippant. The Olympics do very real damage to the cities and communities that host them. Setting aside the lost revenue and the implications that has for the host city and country (IE, why is the UK spending 27 Million on the opening ceremonies alone when entire hospital wards are being
