Stefan and Caroline were sorta cute last season when none of them seem to know they had a bond. They sort of made sense in a way that didn't really make sense, which is okay enough for me — I'm not a hardcore shipper so I can get behind pretty much any ship. But these past few episodes where they kept hanging out, and

It was the second reference to Mama Salvatore in, what, two-three episodes? She's definitely coming back for something, wreck havoc or something. They never even mentioned her in the past 6 years.

This entire "If Bonnie ever comes back" line had my eyes bug out: what a freaking dick move. He should have died. Switched places with Bonnie. Anything other than give him the opportunity to come back to pop in and get laid with Bonnie the minute she comes back. I don't understand why he hasn't tried to help her out

Hear hear!

I rephrased my sentence in the post right below this one. It's less about addiction than Oliver being unhealthy too. His way to deal with his PTSD is to get hurt, deal with pain and come back for more and justify it with a hero complex. It's not healthier than Laurel's addiction which is what he's giving her grief

Especially the dudes! ;-)

But… these are not at all the words that Felicity uttered. She basically told Laurel to stop comparing herself to her sister, and then added that Sara didn't have a light (= was a broken/tortured soul, which, ultimately is true) when Laurel isn't. Therefore, there is no need for Laurel to try and be her sister since

Fine, I'll rephrase: his hero complex and need to dress up to fight bad guys illegally isn't healthier than Laurel's adrenaline rush and incapacity to cope with losing people. Oliver is a hypocrite, which is ok, a lot of people are, and ultimately he sometimes needs to get down from his high horse and give life

There's that, and him using her father as a means not to be part of the crusade. You'd think that he could apply his own advice since his sister is his last living relative. I mean, it's been established that Oliver is a hypocrite (who means well, but still a hypocrite) so it didn't bother me.

Nope. I was cheering them on too.

I think the "Diggle" argument is that… (brace yourself) he's a dad. He hasn't been on the field since, what, episode 303 when Lyla sent him to Corto Maltese? Since then, he hasn't really done anything and Laurel goes in his stead and I keep wondering whether the show isn't using Oliver's argument from episode 301. I

To think that it's supposed to be because Merlyn wants Ra's to leave him alone… Must have been one hell of a pitch last year in the writers' room.

I wouldn't be surprised if Caity Lotz popped up in season 4 flashbacks, where Oliver is in Russia and she's in the League of Assassin and he sees her die for the third time.

But he is an addict. Hero complex, the need to use adrenaline… he is addicted and ultimately, I think Laurel was right, he didn't really get to use that card on her.

Hey, he actually likes swimming-pools and sees how useful they can be to stay young and stuff… if they're filled with Lazarus water (?).
"You don't swim in it, Oliver!"

But Oliver said it in episode 301: he decided to come home in the pilot. I think from there, it's sorta become "obvious" that after all was said and done, he went back to his island of martyrdom to feel sorry for himself until he found the book of names and felt like he might have a way to channel his PTSD.

Honestly, anything but a Oliver/Felicity retcon where they met before they really met or something. URGH. The rest, I don't give a flying fuck. I guess I'm just glad to see Tommy.

Not only was it a good scene, but my shipper heart fluttered… No? Really? I'm the only one?

Depends on the kind of "impalement".

Ok, not to be a creep, but this season has seriously been lacking in the shirtless department.
