Yeah, definitely. The allegory is so potent in this movie that it sorta burns the supernatural possession out of my brain, but it's still canon.

Between the Bonnie & Clyde & Clyde couple and ALL of the teens in Scream 4, it's becoming pretty clear that Kevin Williamson REALLY fucking hates Millenials.
Re: "We're just getting started."
Though I'm not fond of the self-indulgently autobiographical course Judd Apatow has been charting lately, it never occurred to me to judge him for his exposing his daughters' to the public eye. Their "characters" in "This is 40" are so uninteresting and, perhaps consequently, their performances so undistinguished,…
I'd agree that this episode provides a particularly sharp showcase for some of Amy's most monstrous qualities, but I couldn't help admiring her determination. I've been at benefits and cultural events like that one, or at similarly intimidating parties filled with great-looking hipsters or successful entertainment…
Archie, I fell in love with Tusk on the original vinyl, so yeah. (And there are few albums I can even say that about. For whatever reason, I have an almost primitivistic pseudo-mystical relationship to Fleetwood Mac on vinyl. I feel like I'm performing a magic rite when I put a FM record onto the turntable. Maybe…
Yeah. I'm a gay so diva-worship's in my blood and on most Fleetwood Mac albums I gravitate to McVie and Nicks' tracks. But his Tusk songs are insane, e.g. "I Know I'm Not Wrong," which is top-shelf and totally underrated: scrappy, driving, and a shitload of fun.
Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I've lived with the teases and false promises—the myth of the next MBV record—for so long that I've never actually allowed myself to get excited. But this muddy recording has lit a fire inside of me, and now I feel like I will literally DIE if the album doesn't come out today.

I was trying to hold out and save some "Enlightened" for later, but I caved last night and watched S204. I think I was afraid that returning the focus to Amy and the whistleblower plotline after such a stunning, self-contained episode would feel like a comedown, but it was far-and-away the best of the "regular"…
You know what's nice about this thread, besides hearing all you wonderful people praising this show with the eloquence and insight it so richly deserves? The absence of juvenile bitching about Nowalk's grade. It was a lovely write-up, and he has been a great champion of Enlightened, so he really doesn't need to hear…
We can add to the list of possible reasons for Levi's change of heart about recovery the fact that he spent all of his time in recovery bitching about his roommate's incessant farting only to find himself stuck at 4 in the morning listening to some other guy's drunk pukes. I don't think Levi is prone to…
Weren't Josie and Stefan smoking cigs in that scene? Maybe the sponsors wouldn't have been pleased with the association so Bravo pixellated the logo.
I actually disagree with the "it's a shame" or "waste of her talents" line of reasoning about Faris's career. She's great at big, goofy comedy and movies like "The House Bunny" and "Scary Movie 3" (the movie where Faris really elevated her shtick and entered the pantheon of all time great dumb blondes like Marilyn and…
Don't be discouraged from reading it. "Banal and self-indulgent" is a very subjective judgment… I'm finding the book to be neither. I'm only half-way through so I may come to agree with the reviewer, but my sense is he misjudged McEwan's intentions.
