I *just* saw that this last weekend! I loved it.

Agreed on The Wonder Years and The Little Mermaid.
You like to watch.
Yeah, this is very much true.
Many people have made the Casino/Goodfellas comparison.
That monologue elevates the movie incredibly
I used to really like that album.
Because the word "favorite" indicates personal taste for the folks making the picks and not your opinion. But yeah, generational thing would make sense between your choice and those, since the difference would seem to be according to age and taste (about a 7-10 year difference).

they happened so fast, and most of them while I was overseas, that I haven't even tried to catch up with any of them, including the ones I know I'd like (e.g. Fargo).
I thought about that today while watching a cover of the song
"Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds and The Breakfast Club
Tears for Fears "Mad World" & "Head Over Heels" and Donnie Darko

yeah, the hyperbolic baby-fication in the animation made them incapable of surviving that harsh of an environment, which would have been extremely difficult for a fully-functioning and healthy human.
My biggest issue with the narrative turn (once they're on the Axiom) has more to do with the animation than the plot, which I think actually overall fits in with full structure.
While watching Taste of Cherry, I was reminded of my time in Egypt and I had the thought that I would like to visit Iran. I think that's a testament to the cinematography and editing.
