They sometimes do, but they also don't always know how to translate it all into something worthwhile. Or they just like messing around. Somewhere between their overworked compositions and free-form jam sessions is some awesome music that only sometimes gets out.

It was around 2002, apparently. :) "supporting bands will be Glassjaw, Coheed and Cambria, and Piebald." I caught a California show that isn't listed, so it was either just before or after this tour. http://www.punknews.org/art…

I showed up late to a show and Coheed and Cambria was just finishing up the last few songs of their set when they opened up on tour in support of The Juliana Theory. Less than a year later, that scenario would have been silly.

Between the Buried and Me takes a little patience to get into, but they are awesome. Their albums "Colors" and "The Great Misdirect" are interesting for the songwriting and musicianship, even if you don't like the vocals and the rest of the sound.

It probably depended on the stadium and where you were standing/sitting. The "boomy" sound translated to filling out the stadium whereas Blink 182 was a little "tinny".

Hah! I went to that tour. I was just glad to be able to see Bad Religion live. Blink 182 was a bit sloppy.

I saw STP and the Red Hot Chili Peppers around 2000. I'll still give some tracks on Purple a spin occasionally, but that show lowered my interest in the band considerably.

(I was waiting for a comment like this….)

I would have loved to have had the opportunity to see the Spin Doctors.

Toy Story 3 has a weak middle. Inception is interesting, but it works better at developing its concept than its characters.

Rudy actually made me want to visit Notre Dame, though. The Social Network made me want to stay away from Harvard.

In the real world, Saverin gave up his U.S. citizenship in order to avoid paying taxes.

I'm on the Zodiac side.

Hot or Not is discussed in the film.

That's interesting.

Yeah, Fincher's technical craft is excellent. A lot of the work goes unnoticed in Zodiac, too, because it's so well done.

It's an issue with The Social Network.
I still like Sports Night, and it works with The West Wing, and it even works on A Few Good Men. But for other shows, it's weird and too much.

I basically agree with this… except that I think Zodiac is also a great achievement for Fincher.

Another idea is that the Empire cared, but it was not as well-run as the Old Republic because of the constant civil war. Maybe the clones and the workers who stayed faithful to the Empire weren't the sort who held onto the remnants of the more civilized age.

That's a fairly minimizing assessment of the crew on Serenity.
