I fell for the Arcade Fire hype when Funeral took off and thought they were pretty great, but it didn't last long. I think it's healthy to be skeptical of hype and re-evaluate art or music, but if you ignore it completely, there's a chance you'll miss out on something that will be lastingly great. I think Father John

I accidentally anally penetrated my girlfriend in college. I think we were trying doggie style for the first time. It surprised us both and I felt pretty bad, but she was a good sport about it and we both found humor in it. I'm sure the majority of these incidences are asshole guys (no pun intended) who do it

I think even if Prince hadn't recently passed it would be hard to hate on any of his better known songs. Anything on Purple Rain is pretty much untouchable.

The other thing that drives me nuts is the empty cardboard moving boxes that actors pick up and carry effortlessly like they're fucking Hercules.

My brother is hoarding a bunch of star wars action figures that were heavily used by me and him almost 40 years ago. I have a 9 year old son that is way into star wars and I said he should give them to him, you know, to actually play with, and my brother said he wants to hold on to them because they are worth a lot.

I hate getting all PC and shit but this is a total sausage fest.

There's so much wrong with this. Linking autism with something sinister is egregious and dangerous. My kid is on the spectrum and there is a real stigma that some people believe that makes him more emotionally unstable or prone to violence.

Jerry didn't get the memo

I don't go to festivals anymore because I'm old, etc. What is the point of having the same headliners at multiple festivals? Shouldn't there be more variety for each festival to stand out? plus it's like the same dozen bands in medium font on every different poster. I mean how the fuck does Cold War Kids get booked at

Maybe my dad was more into the shakes than the weights.

I worked as an editor on a music website like 10 years ago and we made promo images for featured content and artists. It's no shocker that sexy images got more clicks than anything else regardless of who it was and what it was for. By a lot.

NSFW in that you'll end up crying at your desk.

My dad was super skinny like 140lbs 5'8" but when he was in business he felt the need to bulk up to attain some sort of physical presence that reflected a level of authority, or something. He drank these protein shakes a lifted and got to 200lbs+ but looked fat and not in shape. Now he's slimmer but probably 175 with

He made it seem so straightforward and unexciting. "We pick a place, we hire some people, and make sure nothing bad happens."

Every time I hear a Badly Drawn Boy song somewhere, I go "This is nice, who is this?" Same with Rogue Wave. It's pleasant, well-crafted music but generic enough that it never leaves a lasting impression,

I remember James Blunt won some award for "Beautiful" and there were like 4 other songwriters credited and I was indignant that it took that many people to create such a steaming pile of garbage.

I hold lyrics in very high regard to the point of being irrational and sometimes a groaner like this one will completely ruin a song. Hell, I can't listen to some bands that might have other redeeming qualities at all, because they don't take lyrics seriously (Best Coast and Oasis come to mind).

I liked the Police as a kid and got dragged to the Police reunion a some years back and it was so god damn awful. Sting neutered every song, give them his signature corny jazzbo flare instead of playing them with their original kinetic, spiky energy. I had to get super drunk distract from the boiling rage inside me.

A far cry from "Party on Your Pussy"

I like them a lot as a teenager when Hillel was in the band—in fact for a few years considered them my favorite band. I also liked Mother's Milk. Looking back I don't think they sucked then but my fandom was definitely due to youthful explorations of emerging musical tastes and sensibilities. I bought Blood Sugar Sex
