You're right. Bullshitty king deaths on the one hand, legit queef smoke monster on the other hand. It's a mixed bag.

Dorne really was DOA, wasn't it? That storyline seemed like it had so much promise in the beginning.
Just to be 100% clear, I don't actually think they should have had Stannis announce his intentions and feelings. It just seemed like it escalated really quickly out of plot contrivance rather than character motivation.
I was thinking about it this morning and had the same realization about the 'show not tell' part that seemed to be missing. Davos talked about how they were in dire straits, but we never really felt it because we weren't spending much time with Stannis and co.
You jest, but they've telegraphed Jorah's motivations really well and everything about his journey and choices seems organic. I think Stannis' arc really suffered for lack of screen time this season.
*Gendry stares at Wun Wun*
Wun Wun: The fuck you looking at?
I took his point as "I moved heaven and earth to save you, demonstrating love and lack of embarrassment". If the Stannis-bot can only be set to fond, I guess that's as good as it gets.
…..Yes.
Rowing in a circle just off the coast of Dragonstone?
Ugh, I still feel like Littlefinger is a terrible choice.
Isn't Balon Greyjoy still out there and kicking it? The magic seems at best imprecise and at worst coincidence.
I'm complaining a little bit. I felt like I needed to see more of how desperate Stannis was to make it a believable choice. He's been portrayed as loving Shireen an awful lot.
I was thinking Thousand Island.
No! Why do you always say that?!
It's called 'Westerosi AIDS'.
I didn't actually know they were called long johns or bars! No wonder they always give me the side eye when I ask for 'those dong looking ones'.
Top Pot or GTFO!
I enjoy your avatar, I really like imagining Joffrey as a biathlete.
Man's gotta have a code.
*pours out a 40 for Caprica*
