One thing:  Where the hell does Harry come up with $500 just like that to give to Kinsey? That's the equivalent of thousands in today's dollars. He's not one of the partners, and has a wife and baby to take care of. I don't buy it.

A question: Why would parents as uninvolved as Mike and Frankie volunteer for anything school related? I successfully avoided any such thing with my kids for years.

Modern Family definitely isn't as funny as The Middle.  The storylines tonight just weren't that funny: Phil might want a sports car, but a 1991 Porsche, when his job depends on him bringing people and supplies to houses? Come on.  Lily is a terrible actress, and really, why would he toss that bunny like that anyway?

Funniest line of the night for me? "Gladlyyyyyyyyyy" (Sue telling Mike that's how she says "gladly" now as Suki.)  Totally caught me off guard. I laughed out loud which I rarely do at tv.

Anyone else catch that Manny said at the party that attendees were trying to get girls to kiss (each other)? And Gloria telling Manny that's okay- go have fun?!

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but my favorite parts of the episode were the interactions between Sally and her step-grandmother. I like how Sally has some of Betty's bitchiness and how the grandmother held her own- even the honest part where she apologized for slapping Sally's hand.

I'm frankly surprised that many watch the show but then say they don't laugh or particularly enjoy it. Arnett and Applegate do have a chemistry that is among the most natural I've seen - I was quite surprised by it, actually.  I'm most impressed with Christina Applegate who really does sell her character - even with

It does seem that the reviewer wants it to be a different sitcom.

I think the reviewer tends to like all the things that I DON'T particularly care for in the show: I don't like Julian or Missy- and the silly duet after the credits didn't thrill me either.  I started watching the show for the portions containing semi-realistic home life stories and work stories when they're not too

You're right about the jaws, but give up? I didn't think they did that.

How were those zombies on the chains not trying to attack? I understand their arms were cut off- but the chains were a bit slack. Woudn't they mindlessly still try to walk forward and attack anything living in front of them?

My Dad's nickname when he served in WWII was "Shadow".

So what does this mean in terms of continuing to watch the show? Are they just ending it after this season, or airing some of the second season episodes that are already completed?

Worst scene:  Charlotte from Charlotte's Web writing "Some Ass".  Sigh.

Why was Carl so stupid in this episode? I'm not referring to his chucking rocks at a supposed stuck zombie- I'm talking about not telling anyone about seeing the now FREE zombie once he got back to camp.  He wouldn't have gotten into trouble- he could merely say he saw him out there and ran back to warn everyone.  Who

While I still feel that this show is too derivative of Gervais' earlier shows and characters- I still laughed out loud at the scenes with Helena Bonam.  When she said "it smells" and Warick said "it's the bin" was one of the funniest scenes in a long time.

While the period stuff is a bit tired, the worst parts of the episode for me were the Cam and Mitchell stuff.  So Mitchell spend tons of money and time planning a Wizard of Oz themed party (of which the tornado portion could easily have been excised or shortened) only to change everything when he only had two hours

I didn't quite catch the comment about them being Jewish(?)  Was that confirmation that the Bravermans were Jewish? Or did it mean something else?

While it was kind of played for laughs,  I think it would really be disturbing for the children in the family to see their dad/uncle duking it out on the living room floor.  Other thoughts:

Why is this here before the show airs tonight?
