I'm not keen on Twee-Folk and stuff, but I have to admit that it *sounds* pleasant enough. The comedy part is where they lose me. Just not funny or original at all, just smug and annoying. Oh, you got a year-end-letter from someone you don't like? Well, oy vey.

Eh.
That's not good.

Lighting firecrackers with a skinhead, quite possibly a Neo-Nazi. Reconciliation and shit? I dunno.

Neither is he, which is the only thing about said action that should at least tempt you.
Also: Fuck you too, you non-Sally Menke-knowing putz.

I've said it before (I actually have!) and I'll say it again, but: Fuck Peter Biskind.

I miss Pierce a lot and I don't think I'll be able to listen to "Bitches Brew" without thinking of that whole farsthinkene debacle for some time. I just wish he'd came back.

That he is indeed.

I haven't gotten around to their second album yet - is it as good?

The Feelies
"Crazy Rhythms". So great.

* regains his composure*

*almost insulted*
What, use faucet water to clean my precious hands? I beg your pardon! I only use fresh spring water, enriched with just the tiniest hint of perfume, which I keep in a carafe under the sink. Pa-lease.

*visibly proud to have done his day's duty*
Indeed I did, as I'm wont and known to do.

Really? That is the one Mr. Show reference you guys don't get?

What happened to Kerrigan? Didn't he make some biopic about Grace Slick or work with Soderbergh or something?

"Tetsuo", that's what I was thinking of.

teadoust - Agreed on the magnificence of "Clean, Shaven" but "Pi" really inhabits its own world. It's taking all sorts of cues from "Eraserhead" and that other weird Japanese movie, but it really ends up being its own thing, I think.

I saw Mean Streets when I was about 16 and I totally got that thing with the Hellfire and the matches. That can't be healthy, right?

Wanna fight, Arsenio? Beware, I'll cut ya!

He sure is. It shows in "Requiem For A Dream" as well, what with the Goldfarbs. And "The Wrestler", too. But that's perhaps just me.

Wow, that actually sounded mean. Eh, fuck it.
