Hayden Panettiere is ALL kinds of awesome in Nashville. It's a pretty terrible show, but her character and the music (which is not as good as it was in the first season, but still mostly good) have kept me watching.
Different vowel sounds. If you know the IPA, I pronounce Carrie with /æ/ and Kerry with /ɛ/. If you don't, imagine Carrie as "catty" but with Rs instead of Ts, and Kerry as "kelly", but again with Rs instead of Ls.
