Come on, obviously McNulty is Starbuck. Omar is…Six? Nope, I got nothing on that one.

Easy riffin'
Aren't pretty much all of The Edge's riffs "embarrassingly simple"? I think the first riff I ever learned (after "Smoke on the Water", as prescribed by law) was "I Will Follow", which probably took all of five minutes to master.

I'm all about Christina Hendricks myself, but I gotta say, Jon Hamm is the type of dude who makes heterosexuality seem reasonable.

If this isn't the place for a philosophical debate, what is?

A little Jungian analysis, anyone?
The notion that "The Initiative" shows us "a parallel series that's also been going on this whole time, just outside the intimate sphere we're familiar with", reminds me of one the reasons that Season 4 is my favorite. Even though the master plot eventually loses its way and never

Hush is in no way overrated. It's the best episode of the series, encapsulating everything that made the show great.

Ah yes, MYOB…one of a long string of failures for Lauren Graham, pre-Gilmore Girls. I agree that Katharine Towne deserves more success than she's had.

I'm forever scarred by Michelle Branch's performance at the Bronze in S6. One of her songs is in a commercial now and the TV will not. stop. playing it. I may have to quit watching TV for a while.

Sadly, Ren passed away in 2007. He was on yet another mission to the Crab Nebula when his space madness, long in remission, unexpectedly returned. A crewmate was forced to put him down.

I said cute, not skanky.

Sunday
Sunday was the best one-episode villain ever. It's too bad they killed her off, but her dusting was classic—the hands on the hips, the eye roll, the half-annoyed, half-bored sigh…so perfect.

Count me among that not-insignificant minority. I agree that S3 is better (the best, I'd say), but S4 is number one in my heart.

If you insist on "technological references" as an element of steampunk, then no, Rasputina would not be a good example. My assessment of them as fitting the genre has more to do with overlaying modern musical styles onto chamber instruments and a nineteenth-century aesthetic than any lyrical concerns.

I've always thought that Rasputina fits rather nicely into the steampunk genre.

Fuck, vladdrak. You know how people are always saying that they laughed at something on the internets and spit water (Red Bull, Mountain Dew, Boone's Farm, whatever) all over their keyboards? I always thought that was bullshit, but I totally just did exactly that.

The Mike Brady perm was Muldaur's undoing.

Charles Martin Smith, one of the great underrated character actors. And star of the greatest motherfucking TV movie of all time, Ron Howard's Cotton Candy.

I've never watched this show, but I tuned in last night because I live in Portland and wanted to see if I could recognize anything. Which I could not, as it seems they're trying to keep exterior shots to a minimum.

Holy crap, she was in The Class? I knew I'd seen her somewhere, and I never watched Joey, so that must be it. I must have been too consumed by my Lizzy Caplan love to notice her.
