I've been worried ever since I saw it starred agent Coulson and five Abercrombie and Fitch models.

I am [..] hard when […] teenage twats are in the way.

Yeah I was never sure if Inara was weak because of the writing or the acting, but it's probably a little of both. Her various wise hooker subplots are one of the weakest parts of the show though with the one in "Jaynestown" being particularly dire.

I know a lot of people who never saw the show when it aired but got the DVD and fell in love. Personally I could never figure out what was going on when I was watching it on Fox because the order was all messed up and they didn't even air the pilot until after they cancelled it. Plus some of the best episodes never

In DS9 all the rooms seem to open out into the same corridor. There's also the gratuitous mirror universe episodes and the ones where they go to the abandoned Cardassian station which looks exactly like DS9 but with worse lighting. They really knew how get the full mileage out of their sets.

I still can't get past most of the cast being gorgeous 20-somethings.

@avclub-63c17d596f401acb520efe4a2a7a01ee:disqus I had only vague recollections of catching a few Firefly episodes out of order (well, they were aired out of order, but I think I missed a few) when I saw the movie (which I absolutely loved), so I'd actually forgotten that Book had been in the show. His preacherman

That same's true for three lefts, but watch out for traffic cops.

I was thinking "Never There" but that's not really fair as it's actually a decent song (and he even sings a little in it). It's the other two I can't stand. I fucking hate their cover of I Will Survive though, so let's pretend I meant that one.

@avclub-5089f1be3601fc8a84bfe77de22f9256:disqus I really like Modest Mouse to the point that my CD of Good News for People Who Like Bad News barely plays anymore, but they also have like six albums of mumbling tuneless forgetability.

I could never figure out why Kurt Cobain pronounced it like a Brit.

the song is actually 'vasoline' with an o. yeah.

Aww, all my ninth grade geography teacher ever did was molest half the girls soccer team. :c

I always put The Flaming Lips in the same general category as Modest Mouse and Weezer. Potentially good musicians who rarely get their heads out of their asses long enough to write a decent song. I've got a CD of Yoshimi that I break out on car trips sometimes and I can listen to the whole thing and usually only skip

I didn't. I've always just thought of it as That Fucking Song.

There are plenty of us Cake haters out there and hearing the same three songs on every alt rock station for the last fifteen years has only made us bitter and vengeful. I think it's the same reason this guy doesn't like Roxanne and Jeremy — both of which are pretty good songs that have been turned into insufferable

I'm not really a Cake fan, but they do have some songs that I quite like and they have nice basslines and cool little horn riffs, but the way the guy talk-sings in that awful monotone drives me up the fucking wall. Short Skirt, Long Jacket also has annoying lyrics that I think are supposed to have this feminist

Can Cookie Monster use articles if he's quoting something? My brain says yes, but my heart says no.

I'm imagining the wacky sitcom where Joe Everyteen (Michael Cera) and his former party girl mom (Denise Richards) wind up going to the same college. Naturally, his shlubby roommate (Indian guy from Community) wants to bone her. Jason Alexander rounds out the cast as Mom's ex who's also the dean of students.

Turned out it was just a dolphin with a blonde wig.
