yes, they kept it very real while also being downright funny.  i had no problems with "stereotypes" in this storyline.  i was very worried about the period episode a few back when it started (though they pulled that one off imo), but i never got a similar vibe from the baby/egg talk.  it's just…it's a real thing that

boy, that was quite the plot-contrived episode, wasn't it?  it's like what's happening on Grimm this season - the "rules" for "magic" are not clearly established, so that week's writers can change anything they want to fit the story they want to tell.  it's inherently frustrating to the viewer.
