I love that an article like this was done when not even 3 episodes had aired. Way to jump the gun.

Yes, but how is that sort of scene specifically intended for the rich?

But again… is art not allowed to venture from reality, into the extremes? Why does it need to be "realistic"? It's creating its own world and playing in its own world. Showing violence, I just don't see how that's a problem unless it's done like that rape scene was done.

What I meant is that that's not the context in mind when doing the show. The filmmakers don't create these shows with that single audience in mind, and they don't go about their creative decisions based on that silly objective.

I just can't get on board with this. No, I do not believe GOT was intended for the "privileged", that's just the network it's on. Was The Wire intended for the rich as well? I do have a problem with the rape scene in 4.03, simply because the filmmakers weren't aware of what the hell they were filming. And I have a

Ehh. It's not exactly a "good" show, so I don't really care how long it goes on for with its "quality". It ain't no Game of Thrones. If anything, it'd be sort of sweet to see the fans turn on it (I'm awful, aren't I?)

If there's going to be articles about the flaws of this show, I wish there would be an article about how goddang overrated Breaking Bad's whole last season is. Seriously, where everyone else sees a perfect final season, I see a final season that truly soured me on the rest of the series. But alas I am not an AVClub

"But I'm not going to pretend that I'm somehow more moral than (say) Malvo or Lester when we actively want them to act badly in the first place."

Also, rank these following seasons of these new-ish shows (even though some have 1 or 2 episodes left)

I love that after all the sh*t Lester has done, the show does a great job of us wanting him to be safe, at least until next week… then he commits another truly despicable act, and it's like the show's giving us the middle finger and asking "You were rooting for him, no? This is what you get". Amazing episode.

I've been loving this season so much, so it sucks to say that I wasn't feeling these two episodes very much. I didn't "dislike" them, but I found myself sort of looking at the time. I think it was a combination of the longer running time and that the flashback story just wasn't all that interesting. Part 2 was better

What about it? I think this was better

I'd say this season as been its best yet. I agree that it seems like they're going to do way too much next week. They really could just cut Dany, but alas they won't. LS better be the last scene.

Honestly, I'm okay with any episode of GOT winning directing this year at the Emmys if it's 2.02, 06, 08, or 09.

I mean, it wasn't bad. Not as bad as AVclub rated it, I think. But that new clone's only purpose looks to be as a love interest for Felix. Sort of shameless stuff, really. So much of it seemed unfocused, that Cosima-Delphine "getting high" scene was so random and, so dumb. Easily the weakest episode of the show

I just don't see how it makes any sense. It's so easy to go to a show's season page and just see the grades and get a general assessment of how well liked the episode was.

I wish it was me lol. It's a hunk I had a TV crush on that appeared in Big Brother. Basically just there for my eye's enjoyment.

Why don't older shows' reviews sometimes not get grades?

I thought it was an amazing episode, pretty crazy for basically nothing crazy happening. Everything is being set up so beautifully though.
