I loved this season probably even more than I did the first.
Somewhere out there is an email chain of big critics that says "we really liked season one, let's be really condescending towards season two".
It's not for everyone, the violence can get numbing, and the purposefully grand, broad, biblical-esque style of

I won't lie, the diner scene had me blubbering.

A sci-fi aesthetic where Black people have become the dominant cultural majority in the future baby

The arrival and fight with the ninjas was honestly the most terrified I've ever been watching a television show.

-Daredevil Season 2.
Season 1 was "shit, he kicks ass." Season 2 is "holy fuck, he kicks ass."
-Space Is The Place
wild, afrofuturist jazz film.
- The Oh, Hello Show (off broadway)
if this show comes anywhere near you, dear god see it.

This season is the straw that broke the camel's back. I don't think I can ever watch another episode of Arrow again.

The hallway scene was spectacular is season one, but the stairwell scene made me literally have get up and pace around the room muttering "holy fucking shit".

This season is killing it. I was a bit weary after last season, but this one was difficult not to just sit back and revel in how enjoyable it was. The shift in tone from a few episodes previous really gave it the shot in the arm it needed.

The AV Club
..both awesome and unnecessary

Honestly, this is just a fucking killer record.

…n-n-n-n not even batman ?

..I won't disagree.

It was a little flashy, but it was probably one of the best things Millar has ever written. The moment when the "civilians" turn on Cap and he steps back to see whats happening around them is a phenomenal moment.

At this point the marketing department has to know how erotic they're making this relationship. Not that I mind, it's just, y'know, pick a lane.

The tracks that Iggy originally did like 'China Girl' and 'Tonight' are some of the rare times of Bowie covering something and just could not improve on the original.

Yeah.. this one and the Dr. Brown one were the only ones I was actively hoping would be over.

Hey, let's not undersell the rape here

If there's one thing that potentially makes me put Horace and Pete above Louie is how immediate and contemporary and unrefined/rough it is.

Up until this episode I thought it was just entertaining and a step up from season 3, but after this one is where it felt almost like a different show and reminded me why I like seasons 1 & 2 so much.

I'm skipping both for the funeral of the Republican party
