Keiko says that O'Brien is "magically delicious."

Like this one a million times.  (Damn, he did kind of look like Rowsdower…)

Except the sound of the can opener.  Trust me on this one.

No Barbara Bain?

Richelieu: I think Dr Pulaski's memory eraser might have helped Dr. Darke forget that episode.  (That procedure would be really popular if it really existed.)

Yeah, Season 1 Bashir would totally do that.

That's one of the beauties of the "Vulcan Neck Pinch."  Does the same narrative work of knocking a character out, without all the intelligent people saying, "That is NOT what happens when you knock someone in the head."

Well, Ajax, TOS did pretty good with Dr. McCoy, even if he laid on the Vulcan prejudice pretty thick at times.  But, yeah, usually we crackers get clobbered on TV and the movies, and not just in SF.

They're showing TOS in this area, too, on an affiliate of the "MeTV" network, which you can find in a lot of cities on one of those digital subchannels.  Saturday night, 9 PM, ET.

Sorry to disagree, Cardinal, but to me "Night in Sickbay" was worse than "Move Along Home."  Although there are other Enterprise episodes that are much better, "Night in Sickbay" scrapes the bottom of the Trek barrel for me.

Yeah, I love that line from Janeway.. "I KNOW…"  Kate Mulgrew could play one heck of a wicked witch/psychopath when the part called for it.

This was a well-written article, but the people who create this kind of "entertainment" still deserve to be drawn and quartered.

If he was married to a woman on this show, he is probably in a better place now, himself.

Delenn, I think there is a great deal of merit to your point of view.  I still do not agree that Tolkien was so much the "originator" of all those uncomfortably racial tropes, but I do agree that each of us should look at our words and actions carefully, and weigh the ultimate consequences.  One example i think of, is

I agree with Buckaroo, Richelieu, and Alurin here, though Mrs. God's point of view has been expounded by analysts before.  Unfortunately, I soured on this theory from the exposition given by Germaine Greer, who thinks nearly every white maie author is irredeemably racist, sexist, and reactionary.
I will grant that Mrs

Richelieu Jr's foil, on the other hand, is as sharp and razor-cutting as D'Artagnan's…

Great review, Rowan.  I will have to watch this sometime.  As a white Southerner, I know our region has much more to answer for than actual slavery. What is really depressing, is that I know many people down here that are in total denial of all this dark stuff.

@avclub-a14343d7aea171bddd5aa6b80e500fd3:disqus : Please accept my sympathies as well.  I have known people who have gone through this, and it is very painful.

That's basically the problem, isn't it?   Information that is given to us freely or cheaply, is usually not really "information," but propaganda,   And any "entertainment" that is given to us freely or cheaply, is generally worth the little we have paid for it.  In other words, I should grow up and stop expecting the

Also the way he pronounces "Titian."
