Haven't read all of the comments (I stopped around the 800 mark) so it may have been posted already, but:

It's funny that most of the show's criticisms kind of stem from the fact that it had been given a second season. Just think, how different would the reviews or critical assessment of the show be if they had just decided to end after the 12 episodes?

Although I'm hoping the show will give a better answer (and execution), it feels like the finale will have Korra go into the Avatar State and using it to somehow 'heal' all the debended people (and maybe cementing the fact in people's eyes that the pacing killed some of the greatness the show could have).

If I recall, they also had another series about Susie and Angelica in kindergarten to appeal to the younger audience, but by then they had basically given up.

Ultimately, it was unnecessary for a series like this to be made. Rugrats was one of the very first Nicktoons that I watched as a kid, and it really amazed me how imaginative the series was at the time. When ALl Grown Up showed, I was around my early teens and was really disgusted when I saw it (maybe a gut reaction).

All the love for Rugrats aside, can we talk about how awful "All Grown Up" was? If there was a series that sucked out anything I liked about Rugrats, it was this show. Now, Nick has done As Told by Ginger, but All Grown Up just seemed so goddamned petty(especially Angelica), a complete reversal of the imagination that

Actually, Fairly Oddparents was another Nicktoon that eventually exceeded the 100 episode line as well. But it's unbearably unfunny now.
