Hello? Chris Elliot? Shroud of the Thwacker?
How about this point up front: The movie in no way reflects the happy fun crime heist thing it looks to be based on by the advertising campaign.
Yeah, Gadolfini's role was turribull. He couldn't save it and it dragged down the movie. It was sad, how Pitt summarized Liotta's character's likely timeline. He'll catch a beating and still get whacked. The hell? I seem to recall that this took place in Boston?

the first time they showed that scene, there was also gin (I noticed no gin in the second timeline) 4 types vs 3 types. Don't know if it's relevant, but there you go.
right? A nice twist would be for him to start being just a little bit psychic and now jules would never believe him as he's like uh wait, how *did* I know that?
yeah, maybe. But it could create more tension(ish) if he comes out as mr. observant and then starts having to deal with real moments that he can't explain at all.
I dunno, I don't think he was dreaming so much as dun dun dun becoming somewhat psychic! I may have been drinking but there were a few instances in which the 'happy fake' timeline influenced his acting in the 'real' timeline, you know? I thought it was all pretty clever even if it was all just a dream and should've…
I know, right? This movie was a joke. If there wasn't the thing that this was the Scientology guy, then there's no traction at all. Phoenix is supposed to represent who? He seems more like a 30's hobo from MadMen than a returning WWII vet. Also, the buildup made this movie sound like it was going to be a spectacle…

Shawn apologizing is also weak. From what I've seen of the oldest episodes, Shawn was a player. He either got a case of the betas or he forgot that you've got to deny till you die. And really, what is so awful about maintaining that, gee, maybe my vision was helped by remembering something.
The AVclub's take is fairly reasonable. However, wasn't Shawn's vision this time unique? He actually "saw" Marlowe escape this time. I was wondering if that was supposed to be a real vision this time and twist is that, hmmm, maybe he is a little psychic afterall.

Oh wow, Strange Luck! I loved that show. I always remembered the hot redheaded waitress as being particularly MILFY, redheaded, and hot. That was her, eh? She could rock the uniform, I had no idea that was the same person in later roles.

It’s either a sad cliché of what a woman in power is seen as being, or a potential meta-commentary about what a woman of Jessica’s race and gender might have to do to get to the top and stay there. Precisely what the show is aiming for here isn’t quite clear yet, either in…

I mean, yeah, the episode needed another gorilla joke to be anywhere near an A-.
