Some of the latter pieces described sound like they would get their creators a one way ticket to Siberia.
They're not one of those bands that blow you away the first time you listen to them. You just think "Oh, that's nice, I like that kind of thing". Then the album ends and you play again and you don't know why. Then you replay it again. And again. Next thing you know, you're defending them on internet message boards.
There's a lot of terrible bands on Saturday that got much better billing than Beach House, and I'm not sure I'm ok with that.
