The joke is now "Where's the Flaming Lips!?!?!?!?"
The joke is now "Where's the Flaming Lips!?!?!?!?"
It's like one of those "Magic Eye" things, right? I'm pretty sure I see a penis.
What ARE your favorite albums from the past ten years? We're sharing so much it's like motherfucking Sesame Street up in here.
Yeah, but I've been listening to it non-stop since it came out 6 weeks ago and it's fucking killing me and I might want to have its baby.
Yes, because Devin The Dude is so popular and successful. He killed it on SNL last week. I can't wait to see him tear it up with The Who at the Super Bowl half time show.
RYAN ADAMS
Another one we're all forgetting. Lord knows there are enough to choose from.
I'm glad I finally dropped my hipster pretenions and gave Nada Surf another shot. "Let Go" is such a wonderful album from start to finish. Might have to close my office door now and put on "Blizzard of '77".
ALL RIGHT I GOT YOUR DAMN WORDS.
oooooooo . . .If I could pick "Government Commisions" or "My Father, My King", I'd go with that, too.
LOW
They just missed my top ten, so I guess I'm yelling at myself too . . .but
I haven't seen them mentioned in the comments either, so every single one of us is to blame and we should hang out heads in shame now and die a little on the inside.
Whenever I'm playing my favorite parlor game, "Cutting down Kid A", I like to end with "It wasn't even the best album released in October 2000 with Thom Yorke on it . . . Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea was".
"Giving Up The Ghost" by DJ Shadow. I don't think any of his albums from this decade should be on this list, but that was one of my favorite songs from the past ten years.
I was a little surprised to see "End Hits" cut down in the description for "The Argument". The only bad thing I can possibly say about it is that it's not "Red Medicine".
Oh god I love Lift To Experience. I forgot that came out this decade.
Can I pick "Rock Action" for the Mogwai? I think their output this decade has been vastly underrated, but that one really stands out.
Wow, only one in my list made the top 50
1. The Clientele - The Violet Hour
2. Godspeed You Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
3. Brian Wilson - Smile
4. Madvillainy
5. American Music Club - Love Songs For Patriots
6. Stars of the Lid and the Refinement of Their Decline
7. Anti Pop Consortium -…
@PeterF
Earth really hasn't been very metal this decade though, have they? They've still been awesome, but in a totally new away.
