From the director of Alien

Does he build a house with unsanitary levels of malt spilled on the floor?

Maybe at some point we'll get the torture-porn version, once they realize that giants have literally twenty times the viscera of regular peasant folk.

*monocle pops out*

Yes, though I'll admit it's mostly used. Every few months I raid a used CD shop to see what's on clearance in the international celtic/folk section. It's not uncommon that I come home with 10-20 new artists/bands I've never heard of, and usually at least half of them turn out to be pretty great.

I just came here to post about that! Surprisingly great. Well, actually, I barely saw any of the first two parts. We'd always just play that amazing, grotesque, divinely ridiculous DHWaV taxi racing game. There's bombs all over the city! You gotta, um, hit them with your car, so they blow up? Or they'll blow up even

And once again my private boycott of Gawker Media is validated.

Woops, this one's not going to Japan!

Either one's fine, actually!

Die Hard, My Darling

Site of the famous speech by Baberaham Lincoln?

He's probably right in that, from a commercial standpoint, it might get some traction from the 30-somethings and their kids. But… Ewww.

I don't think there's a full article, but if you search the archives, they've reviewed the collections from Fantagraphics, and there's been some discussion in the comments to those.

I loved the setting! I hadn't really been exposed to the idealized 1930s South Pacific milieu before.

This is probably a good place to bring up Hanson, who are also apparently still around. I learned from other AV Club people that they put out a new single a couple years ago, which a) was actually rather good and b) has Weird Al in a bit part in the video.

Oh my God, you had the Spider-man molestation assembly too!?

That's actually a rather good one.

On Friday night I am usually… horizontal, staring at the peeling wallpaper in a whiskey haze
